Since the creation of a purchasing office in Bordeaux in 1883, Maison Sichel has remained above all a family business.
Since that date, seven generations of Sichels have succeeded each other at the helm of the company.

It was Peter A. Sichel who, by settling in the Gironde capital in 1961, gave Maison Sichel new impetus, allowing it to develop very strongly and acquire the international notoriety that has become its own.

A simple purchasing office in its beginnings, then a full-fledged trading company which gradually became involved in production, Maison Sichel was able to seize every opportunity to expand its areas of expertise and intervention.
Thus, over the last 50 years, it has been profoundly transformed with the acquisition of a wine cellar, the construction of a bottling site, the acquisition of three properties, the purchase of a wine merchant and the construction of a Grands Crus storage vault.
